B.Ed or bachelor of education is a PG level course. Usually, admission is granted on the basis of entrance exams. Apart from other subjects, special importance is given to English language and teaching aptitude.

Overview
  • Duration of the entrance test will be of 2 hours.
  • There will be 150 MCQ type questions involved in the exam form General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude, Language Proficiency, Reasoning and Subject Knowledge up to class X.
  • For every wrong answer 0.25 mark will be deduct.
Exam Pattern
  • This entrance has 2 sections. The first section will be an objective type exam and there will be 3 papers in it. Bilingual language comprehension documents, as well as reasoning and mathematical reasoning, will have 30 marks each and the maximum duration allowed for these documents will be 40 minutes. Subject Knowledge paper will carry 40 marks and the duration of this document will be 50 minutes.
  • The second part will be descriptive and the maximum duration of this document will be 20 minutes. This section contains two mandatory parts with 10 marks each. Candidates must score 65% to qualify for this exam. Those who qualify for the exam must attend an interview that matches the final selection process prior to admission.

Eligibility
  • Candidates who have obtained at least 50% of the points at the undergraduate and / or masters level or Diploma in Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities. Or
  • Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Sciences and Mathematics with a 55% or any other equivalent qualification.
Note: Candidates who meet the eligibility conditions mentioned above can choose for two teaching methodology subjects prescribed by the university.
