Several factors influence the IPMAT cutoff each year. Here are the primary factors expected to affect the IPMAT 2025 cutoff: 

1. Exam Difficulty Level: The difficulty level of the IPMAT exam is one of the most significant factors. If the exam is more challenging than previous years, cutoffs tend to be lower, as scores across all candidates generally decrease. Conversely, an easier exam could push the cutoff higher.
2.  Number of Applicants: With IPMAT gaining popularity, a higher number of applicants can increase competition, potentially raising the cutoff. If there’s a substantial rise in the applicant pool, it might push cutoffs upward, especially for the general category. 
3. Performance of Candidates: The overall performance of candidates impacts the cutoff as well. If a significant portion of applicants score high marks, the cutoff is likely to rise. Similarly, if average scores are lower due to tougher sections or other factors, the cutoff might decrease. 
4. Sectional Performance Trends: IPMAT has sectional cutoffs, so the performance in individual sections, especially Quantitative Ability (QA) and Verbal Ability (VA), affects the cutoff. If one section is significantly harder or easier than usual, it could lead to an adjustment in sectional cutoffs.
