ABOUT COURSE

The School of Law provides Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral programs in law, adhering to the standards set by the Bar Council of India and the University Grants Commission.

The BALLB (Honours) program has been structured with a focus on Political and Constitutional philosophy.

The BBALLB (Honours) program has been crafted with an emphasis on Management and Corporate Governance. This program adopts a versatile approach to meet the requirements of legal practice, the corporate sector, law firms, and in-house legal counsels within companies. It provides students with the opportunity to specialize in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, securities, investment law, and international taxation. This specialization prepares students for professional practice and advanced education abroad, grounded in community engagement.

Elegibility

To be eligible for the program, applicants must have passed the +2 level examination (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) in any stream with a minimum of 45% from a recognized Board in India. This applies to students from Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce & Management, and Sciences backgrounds.
Candidates who will be taking the +2 examinations in March-May 2023 can apply with their class X and XI marks

For students following an international curriculum, eligibility is determined in accordance with AIU stipulations:

Applicants pursuing the IB curriculum must have completed 3 HL (Higher Level) and 3 SL (Standard Level) subjects with a total of 24 credits.
Applicants pursuing the GCE (General Certificate of Education) / Edexcel curriculum must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade no lower than C.
