Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA) stands out as India’s pioneer in offering a comprehensive four-year full-time Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science (Liberal Arts) Honours degree. Since its establishment in 2011, SSLA has been at the forefront of liberal arts education in the country, providing students with a unique academic experience.

SSLA’s curriculum is distinguished by its breadth and depth, offering students a wide spectrum of 20 specializations across various disciplines. These specializations encompass diverse fields such as Social Sciences, Humanities, Natural Sciences, Computers, Mathematics and Statistics, as well as professional courses like Media and Business Studies. This expansive range of options allows students to tailor their academic journey according to their interests and career aspirations.

there are 3 pathways to acquiring the honours degree at SSLA –

1. 1 major specialisation + 2 minor specialisations
2. 1 major specialisation + 1 minor specialisation + 6 electives
3. 2 major specialisations + 0 minor specialisation + 2 additional electives

 

• Candidates aspiring to join SSLA will be completing the 4-year, full-time under-graduate degree programme. On completion of the programme, students will receive the degree:
  • Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science Liberal Arts (Honours) with Research (OR)
  • Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science Liberal Arts (Honours)

Major and Minor

Students may opt for any one of the following as their Major and Minor area of specialization:

ELIGIBILITY

• CBSE/ICSE/HSC:
  • Applicants are required to secure at least 50% (Open Category) and 45% (SC, ST) in the 12th Standard

OR

• IB Certificate or Diploma students are accepted:
  • Certificate: Applicants must have a minimum of 24 credits and passed a minimum of three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL).

ADMISSION PROCESS

The SSLA UG Admissions 2024 will be a Non-SET admissions process. 

• Admission to SSLA is based on a comprehensive assessment, which takes into consideration SOP, LORs, 8th-11th scores, extra-curricular activities, Writing Ability Test (WAT) scores, and Personal Interaction (PI) scores.
• WAT and PI will be conducted post the completion of the application after payment of the Registration fee. Please see the segment on the Timeline for details.
