About IPMAT (IiM indore)

ABOUT IPMAT (IIM INDORE)

The Integrated Program in Management (IPM) is structured over a period of five years, divided into 15 terms. Each academic year is composed of three terms, each lasting three months. The program is divided into two distinct parts: the initial three years focus on building a strong foundation, while the latter two years concentrate on management studies.

The foundation phase is characterized by three key elements:

Analytical Rigor: Courses in Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics are integral to the curriculum, aiming to cultivate analytical rigor among students.

Core Disciplines: Courses in Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, and additional courses in Economics contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental disciplines that form the basis of management studies.

Breadth and Perspective: The curriculum also includes courses in Humanities, Literature, and Fine Arts. This diverse set of courses aims to provide students with a broad and perspective-rich education.

By structuring the program in this manner, the Integrated Program in Management aims to offer students a well-rounded education that not only builds a strong analytical foundation but also ensures a holistic understanding of various disciplines essential for effective management studies. This approach equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the field of management.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates satisfying the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management of IIM Indore.

Age: Candidate should have been born on or after August 01, 2003 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given, i.e., born on or after August 01, 1999).
Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023, or 2024. • Standard X/SSC or Equivalent: Candidate should have passed standard X/SSC.

EXAM SYLLABUS & PATTERN

There will be three sections in the Aptitude test, namely

Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ),
Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA)
Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ).

Each question will carry 4 marks.

There will be a negative marking of 1 negative mark for each wrong answer except Quantitative Ability (SA) Section (these questions will not carry any negative marking).

The time duration for the section

QA (MCQ): 40 Minutes

QA (SA) 40 Minutes

VA (MCQ): 40 Minutes

Maximum and Minimum scores are the highest and lowest scores obtained in respective sections by the candidates from the eligible pool.Shortlisted candidates shall appear for the Personal Interview (PI) through online/offline mode, which will be intimated to the candidates by the Institute Only those candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered for the final selection

Selection Procedure

The students go through a comprehensive selection procedure:

Prospective students complete an application form designed to assess their academic competence and involvement in extracurricular activities.
Following this, an entrance examination is conducted to evaluate the applicant’s aptitude, logical reasoning, and proficiency in both English and Mathematics.
Shortlisted candidates then participate in a Written Ability Test (WA) and a Personal Interview (PI). The interview panel consists of highly qualified professors from IIM Indore and other esteemed institutions. During the interview, the panel assesses the students’ confidence, communication abilities, general awareness, persuasion skills, and knowledge.
