The National Institute of Design is globally recognized as a premier educational and research institution specializing in Industrial, Communication, Textile, and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design. Educational Qualification
These age limits are set to ensure that candidates meet specific criteria related to their birthdates. It’s important for applicants to carefully check and adhere to these age restrictions when applying for admission.
Candidates who have either passed or will appear for the higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2023–24 are eligible to apply. This applies to candidates from any stream, including Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc. The qualification should be obtained from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, or an equivalent board.

The Design Aptitude Tests will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims (100 Marks)
The B.Des. DAT Prelims paper is a paper-and-pencil/pen test, conducted at the same time on the same day across all test centers. The questions asked may involve text and visuals.
